Unfailing loyalty to the chain of command, its goals, and Soldiers is one of the most important part of the effective army.

A loyal soldier is the one who appreciates true leadership and is ready to cover his fellow soldiers, his loyalty is never questioned.

Bottom line is, without respect a unit is ineffective in most circumstances.

Selfless Service is to “Put the welfare of the nation, the Army and your subordinates above your own.” Selfless service is not only about yourself but your peers and leaders can affect the way you look at it.

Duty is the first and the most important value that involves a sense of moral commitment and obligatory to serve and defend the homeland.

The essence of this value lets soldiers act in different situations correctly even without appropriate orders, based only on the inner feelings of what is right.

They are broken down to us in the acronym ‘LDRSHIP’ which is short for Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage. All of these 7 values coincide with each other, and play an important roll in our Army lives.

We are all taught these 7 Army values repeatedly from day one in the United States Army. These 7 Army Values also play well into life outside the Army in our personal life.

No matter if its shooting expert on the M16, learning dill movements in basic, brushing up on your boot shining skills in AIT, or trust in your fellow solders in permint party.

Lots of thing helps make a solder from learning the heritage and traditions, to coutesies, to the army values all the way down to serving as a member of a team.
