Candidates for admission to the DC program are required to hold a Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Exceptional applicants with three years of undergraduate study (90 semester hours) will be considered for admission if spaces are available.

Exceptional students with less than 24 hours in life and physical sciences may be considered for admission under an Alternative Admissions Track Plan, in accordance with the policy of the Council on Chiropractic Education.

Admission Requirements An admission decision is made at the program level and based on a combination of a student’s undergraduate and graduate academic performance, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and interview.

Such students will be required to complete their Baccalaureate degree from Keiser University before graduation from the DC program.

Pre-chiropractic coursework must include a minimum of 24 semester hours in life and physical science courses.

Strong applicants show evidence of academic success and potential for success in graduate school (e.g., evidenced by GPA, GRE scores, and letters of recommendation), potential success in developing interpersonal relationships in the counseling context, and an openness to personal and professional development.

Preference is given to individuals who possess knowledge of mental health issues and aptitude to work in counseling through coursework, research experience, and/or volunteer or professional work experiences.

All students are encouraged to submit Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores in support of their application.

Admission to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is based on a review of application materials by the program faculty.
