After this date, your assignment can be cancelled and you can be charged a no-show administrative fee.
To receive a housing assignment at Stanford University, graduate students and upper-class undergraduate students (rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors) should submit an application by the appropriate deadline online through Axess each year.

Student Housing sets move-in dates to correspond with the beginning of academic terms.

The Housing Assignments office assigns students to buildings and room types through the various assignment rounds.
The Draw/ Lottery: The first round of assignments, called The Draw (for undergraduate housing) and Lottery (for graduate housing), takes place in the spring preceding Autumn Quarter.
In this round, students are randomly assigned application numbers and assigned spaces in housing based on these application numbers and the choices they list on their applications.
Depending on your academic program and residence, you can request move-in dates as early as mid-June or as late as mid-September for Autumn Quarter.
Move-in dates for Winter Quarter begin in January and, for Spring Quarter, in late March.
